All Hallow's Eve Rituals

No matter what religion or type of spiritual practices you follow, all seem to have in common the thinning of the veil this time of year. This means that our ancestors and loved ones that have passed on are closer than usual. The gods or deities that we believe in are more accessible. This opens up the channel for communication and ritual.

If you would like to create an altar to connect with and honour your ancestors and loved ones, it is easy to do so. Collect photographs, family heirlooms and other objects that connect to your loved ones or even pets. Collect photographs, heirlooms, and mementos of family members, friends, or beloved pets. Set them up in your altar along with some candles. Present an offering such as food or a gift. Bring in elements of nature, specifically for this time of year - root vegetables, leaves, etc. Light your candles and set your intention for the ceremony. This could be to connect with your loved ones or to receive specific guidance from them. Sit quietly in meditation and be sure to express gratitude your loved ones and spirits guides. Take time to journal afterwards and hold on to any messages or guidance that comes through.
